Episodes 1 and 2 of ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ have dropped on Disney+ and leaving fans excited for more!
This fresh take of Spider-Man takes it back to the beginning. We see a new origin of Spider-Man that modernizes and gives more emotional depth to what is already known. This series was originally intended to be a prequel series to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the MCU, it was decided that would be too restrictive. So instead the direction changed but the influence is there.
While some things have changed like gender and race for some characters, which many will find ‘Woke’, it does it thoughtfully and it overall seems to work and make the story better.
