With the news that Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) has been cast in Spider-Man 4, we take a look at what her possible role could be in the highly anticipated movie.
Jean Grey: Not as unlikely as it seems. Although this being clearly a Spider-Man movie and not an X-Men movie, it will be set between the events of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. With the multiverse playing a huge factor, a character like Jean Grey could surely make an appearance. Not to mention she has been rumored for the role for months now.
Mary Jane Watson- she definitely looks the part. Also remember Zendaya’s version is Michelle Jones-Watson, not the MJ we know from the comics. Again multiverse or a cousin, who knows. The only thing is this seemingly pushes Zendaya out of the story and I doubt any studio would minimize Zendaya’s involvement considering how big she is in the industry right now.
Gwen Stacy- this seems the most likely. Just dye her hair or make Gwen a red head now. We have not seen this character in the MCU despite how wildly popular she is in comics, animation, and prior movies.
Then there are other possibilities like Black Cat, maybe Jessica Drew, or even a new original character. Whatever the character she ends up playing, be sure fans will have their opinions
