Tron: Ares is good, it’s just not as good as Tron: Legacy
Tron comes out with its 3rd film with Jared Leto leading the movie as the program Ares, designed to do Dillinger’s bidding whether it be hacking Encom on the grid, or hunting people in the real world.
Jared Leto was okay in the movie. He played a program who was slowly gaining a personality, so it wasn’t a lot to ask for him. Greta Lee was awesome in this movie and I was genuinely rooting for her character. It was great to see Jeff Bridges return as a digital echo of Flynn but it wasn’t the same. I was really hoping to see Sam & Quorra but we don’t get an actual cameo, and I think that hurts the movie.
I really hope we get a 4th movie as doors were opened and possibly even a way to really bring Flynn back.
Overall, even if you’re a casual Tron fan, this is a must see for the theater experience of the movie is absolutely beautiful.
