We have now heard from several sources that former Andi Mack & Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. actress Peyton Elizabeth Lee is in final talks to star in the Disney+ Power Rangers Reboot.
The Legacy of Nerd originally reported Peyton Elizabeth Lee was being eyed for the reboot and was later corroborated by Disinsider as well. The exact role remains a mystery but we have heard through several sources she will play the Red Power Ranger and will be one of the leads of the show.
If Peyton takes on the mantle of the Red Ranger, it will make her the 4th female Red Ranger and 6th female leader in Power Rangers history. Disney and Hasbro are said to be keen on having Peyton join the cast as she will bring more eyes to the reboot.
Another actor my sources have indicated may be in final talks is Joel Oulette, although it is not known what color ranger he may be, but sources believe it may be the Blue or Black Power Ranger.
The Disney+ Power Rangers reboot is being developed by Percy Jackson & The Olympians showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg & Dan Shotz. The series will be developed under their studio Quaker Pictures under 20th Century Studios and Hasbro Entertainment. Filming is expected to begin this April in London and Toronto.
