Playmates’ New Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Re-Ignition toy line leaked late Sunday Night as digital forms of the Pop Insider Magazine gave us a first look of the upcoming Power Rangers Figures.
The new figures dubbed “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Auto Morphin’ Figures” are a rehash of the flip head figures released in the 90’s, 2000’s, and again recently with Hasbro.

Already Power Rangers fans are dismayed with the reveal as the figures boast very wide bodies, skinny arms, and skinny legs. The Green Ranger in particular looks very odd and the shield makes the arms even skinnier.
There are questions if these are the same figures seen in the silhouettes Playmates released on their instagram as the silhouettes are leaner and look a bit taller. Although they look different there are similarities as the already bulky bodies it appears to have, the weapons, and holsters also look the same.
With a price point of $9.99, it is very clear these figures are to appeal to the child demographic, still adult collectors were hoping it could be something for them as well, and it appears it wont.
Playmates looks to unveil the entire Re-Ignition collection at the New York Toy Fair this weekend, March 1-4, and hopefully there are more things to show then these.
