Venom: The Last Dance has landed in theaters and audiences seem underwhelmed by the third installment of the symbiote franchise.
The movie picks up right after the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ end credits scene that saw Eddie Brock in Venom in the MCU and transported right back to his. While the opening scene had some great Venom moments, it really seemed downhill from there.
The movie introduces a fan favorite villain in ‘Knull’ voiced by Andy Serkis but his appearance in the movie is underused and nothing more than a glorified cameo. It seems the last film in the Venom Trilogy may not be more than a set up movie of things to come.
It’s opening weekend it has made $51 Million making it the lowest debuting of the series and has the lowest audience rating of the three as well.
While the Venom Series continues to be good popcorn movies, the absence of Spider-Man continues to be what holds the series back.
