Ralph Macchio attended Big Texas Comicon this weekend in San Antonio, TX and let some details slip about the upcoming ‘Karate Kid: Legends’ film during a panel Friday night.
Although the details were small, they were the first any sort of information on the film had been discussed other than casting news and the title.
Macchio confirmed that ‘Karate Kid: Legends’ does in fact take place after Cobra Kai and alluded that the new movie is part of the Karate Kid/ Cobra Kai timeline.
Many fans have been speculating if the movie will take place in the ‘Miyagi-Verse’ as Jackie Chan has been cast in the film presumably as his “Mr. Han” character from the remake with Jaden Smith in 2010.
This opens up the possibility of seeing the characters from both versions interacting with each other, leaving fans very excited.
You can watch the clip below.
‘Karate Kid: Legends’ is due out in theaters May 28, 2025 and stars Ralph Macchio, Jackie Chan, Ben Wang, Joshua Jackson, and Ming-Na Wen.
