’28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ hits theaters this Friday and fans have a lot to be excited about. The direct sequel to last years ’28 Years Later’ continues the story of Spike on the zombie infected island.

Alfie Williams takes more of a backseat in this movie to Ralph Fiennes’ Dr. Ian Kelson and Jack O’Connell’s Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal, who take on more the lead roles in this movie.

I say this in the video review, but if you have any expectations of what this movie might be, you’re probably wrong. It takes it in a new direction, which is impressive for a direct sequel to a movie that came out last year. It does pick up right where the last movie ends with the Jimmys initiating Spike into their group of blonde wig wearing ninjas, who worship leader Jimmy Crystal. Without spoiling the movie, this group is scary, funny, and definitely a force to be reckoned with that makes them so intimidating.

Ralph Fiennes as Dr. Ian Kelson is amazing in this movie. We visit him again in his solidarity until he makes a friend in none other than the Alpha zombie from the last movie. The beginning of their friendship, which is funny in itself, and how it devleops, and yes it develops in a very interesting way.

This picture below has been used in promotion of the movie for months now. Whatever you think is probably going on here, you’re wrong. This is one of the most memorable scenes in a long time.

There is a scene at the beginning that is probably 2 seconds long, but it sets up the whole movie. I wonder if people will catch it. For those that do, at the end of the movie, it will make much more sense. Also the ending of the movie, wrapped up the last two movies wonderfully, and set it up for an another which leaves me very excited.

Overall this is a great movie, I do say I enjoyed the last movie more, but The Bone Temple is just as great. I do see other reviews of them saying they actually enjoyed this one more than the last, so maybe it’s more of a me thing.

Score A-
